No backache with long drives for pro golfer Dan

Ludlow golf professional Dan Francis wont have to worry about his back when he takes a long drive this summer.
He will simply go into lumber support and the best possible driving position to arrive fresh at his latest golf tournament on the pro circuit.
For Dan’s new sponsored car from Shukers Land Rover has a top of the range spec that includes electronic lumber support to make his rides to golf matches even more comfortable.
Shukers is continuing its sponsorship of the long-standing Ludlow pro with a Freelander HSE which Dan believes will help his game following a long drive to a tournament.
His busy summer playing schedule includes six Midland region order of merit events as well as tournaments as far afield as Scunthorpe and Grantham.
But in his sporty looking Freelander – there’s a spoiler on the tailgate and the mirrors and grille have a chrome finish – Dan is looking forward to his travels.
He is expecting to at least equal the 5,500 miles he drove in his previous sponsored car from Shukers – though that was without lumber support.
Dan was among a group of a dozen professional golfers from the Shropshire and Herefordshire Golf Union who were taken by Shukers to Eastnor Castle for a day’s off-roading.
“Everyone commented how good a day it was,” said Dan. “The Land Rover model range was put through its paces and it was interesting to compare the performance of the Defender, synonymous with farm work, to that of the Range Rover at the luxury end of the market.”
