Shukers are very proud of their history, the Rubery Owen connection and of course, their Land Rover dealership.

In late 2008, Shukers were looking for a local web marketing company to share their thoughts with in order to produce a Shukers website.The requirements for this were quite strict, and possibly against the grain of the ideas which most web companies would recommend.

Vernon Hogg, Shuker's Managing Director says:

"It is very difficult for someone like myself, who admittedly is not tech-savvy, to describe exactly how I wanted the website to work. When we put the work out to tender, we were looking for a local company who could not only deliver the goods, but also listen to my ideas and work WITH us instead of FOR us. It's not something we wanted to do over and over again... we wanted to get it right first time.

"When we contacted Pixelmakers, the discussions immediately were electric, and I found that bouncing ideas around was productive and creative. Almost immediately, I knew I'd found the right company for the job."

The Shukers website was born in early 2009, and continues to go from strength to strength. The vision of where the site would lead has been surpassed, and the website is now used for promotions, information and displaying foundations for a complete historic pictures and data archive of the Rubery Owen story.

The Shukers site was designed with a full content-management system, which allows Shukers' staff to make changes to pages, add new pages, and keep the various parts of the site up to date. Even so, Vernon decided that it's best left to the professionals...

"We're not web designers or marketing experts here," says Vernon, "we are experts at what we do, which is selling vehicles. We have recently used Pixelmakers' advice and services extensively to market the site with great success. Even though we are capable of editing the site ourselves, we thought we'd leave the tricky bits to the experts!"
