We Recognise that Valuing and Protecting the Environment and the Communities in which we Operate is Critical to a Successful Future.
We’re committed to growing our business responsibly and sustainably, so we can add value to our customers, company and the wider economy.
DR RALF SPETH
CEO, JAGUAR LAND ROVER
We are constantly investigating new ways to tackle our carbon footprint as we strive towards a 30% reduction in our emissions across our manufacturing operations by 2020.
Cutting waste and reducing water use are priorities. Increasingly we recognise the value of our resources by seeking innovative ways to reuse or recycle them.
We support local and global communities with humanitarian & health, education, design, technology & talent, environment & conservation projects through our 2020 Global Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
We’re proud that our business is booming and we recognise that this success comes with an even greater responsibility to minimise the environmental impact of our operations. It’s a challenge we’re continuing to respond to as we increase manufacturing capacity around the world to meet growing customer demand.
At Land Rover, we have high standards in everything we do, including the buildings we work in. As we expand, we want to make sure that any new manufacturing facilities we build, such as our new Manufacturing Plant in Wolverhampton, comply with our forward-thinking principles and practices.
The environmental impact of our operations is not confined to our facilities. In fact, the impacts on our supply chain are greater. So we encourage our suppliers to uphold the same high standards of sustainability as we set ourselves. And we work closely with them to reduce the environmental impact of the products we buy.
Minimising waste is a core concern for our employees and suppliers. As we grow it becomes more important than ever which is why we remember these three Rs every day across our manufacturing operations.
